Security & ComplianceBuild trust.
Prove it with evidence.
HartBeat OS is designed to coordinate business work while keeping human authority, access boundaries, and data handling central to the architecture. Security and compliance require ongoing operational work—not just a badge on a website.
Current public status: product in development. This page describes design priorities and proposed readiness work. It does not claim completed audits, certified controls, HIPAA readiness, a Vanta subscription, or an active auditor engagement. Updated September 29, 2026.
What the frameworks mean
SOC 2
A report from an independent auditor about controls within a defined system scope. Type I addresses a point in time; Type II examines control operation over a period. A readiness platform assists preparation; it does not replace the auditor.
Vanta’s SOC 2 guidance ↗HIPAA
Healthcare privacy and security obligations depend on the parties, services, and protected health information involved. Applicable business associate agreements and safeguards must be addressed. A website badge or third-party certificate does not replace those obligations.
HHS business associate guidance ↗ISO 27001 and AI governance
Security management and AI governance may become relevant as deployment requirements grow. Any future framework work needs an agreed scope, accountable owners, and evidence. No certification or framework conformance is represented here.

Where Vanta could fit
Vanta provides compliance workflows, evidence collection, control monitoring, risk management, policy and access-review support, and ways to share security information through a Trust Center. It can help organize audit preparation and auditor collaboration. It does not make a product compliant merely by connecting accounts.
For HartBeat OS, a potential fit is tracking company and development controls, vendor reviews, and evidence as the product matures. Coverage for customer-owned appliances, local workloads, Docker environments, and custom agent permissions must be demonstrated before choosing a platform.
We have not represented Vanta as deployed, contracted, or a partner. Its suitability, permissions, evidence storage, commercial terms, and support for our deployment model remain evaluation questions.

Security priorities for the HartBeat architecture
- Human authority: scoped agent permissions and approval requirements for consequential actions.
- Identity and credentials: access reviews, protected secrets, revocation, and separation between customer environments.
- Agent supply chain: inspect external skills, dependencies, licenses, and requested permissions before enabling them.
- Evidence and accountability: record authorized actions, quality checks, exceptions, and spending decisions while limiting sensitive data in logs.
- Appliance resilience: define patching, encryption, backup, restoration, and incident-response responsibilities for each deployment.
- Data boundaries: document what stays local and what leaves for cloud models or tools. Local hardware alone does not establish privacy or compliance.
These are design and validation priorities, not a statement that every listed control has been implemented or independently tested.
A practical readiness roadmap
- Define the boundary. Map company systems, code delivery, hosted services, customer appliances, external models, and shared responsibilities.
- Inventory data and risks. Identify data categories, flows, subprocessors, retention, and incident scenarios. Use synthetic data for early testing.
- Implement and test controls. Assign owners and collect evidence for access, changes, backups, vulnerabilities, incident handling, and agent authorization.
- Evaluate readiness tooling. Request a scoped Vanta demonstration and quote. Compare platform, audit, remediation, and ongoing operational costs before committing.
- Commission appropriate independent work. Agree audit scope and timing with qualified reviewers. Healthcare deployment requires separate HIPAA applicability and contractual review.
- Publish verified status. Share only completed, scoped evidence and approved reports; maintain a dated status as the program develops.
This is a proposed sequence, not an announced audit schedule. No compliance platform purchase or audit engagement is included in the current MVP development budget.
Before a sensitive-data deployment
Do not treat this website as approval to use HartBeat OS with protected health information. A proposed healthcare deployment needs validated controls, applicable agreements, and review of every model, tool, and service receiving data.
Ask us about your deployment requirements, data boundaries, required assurance, and procurement timeline so they can be considered before a pilot.
