The technology can evolve.
HartBeat OS is designed as the upper business orchestration layer: translating human intent into coordinated work across eligible AI models, specialist agents, applications and tools.
Choose technology around the business mission. Keep the mission, permissions, budget and outcomes under HartBeat’s control as individual providers evolve.
Integration status: HartBeat OS is in development. The technologies below describe candidates and architecture direction, not verified integrations, partnerships or access to every provider.
How the shared Beat architecture works
HartBeat OS is being built around one reusable Beat framework. Skills package procedures and supporting resources; tools connect approved actions; scoped context provides the information for each mission. Models and worker runtimes sit behind tested adapters.
Genie and Maestro provide the conversational and coordination functions. Deterministic HartBeat Core code is intended to enforce authority, spending limits, durable mission records and recovery. A worker’s instructions cannot grant it additional permissions.
We plan to use the Agent Skills format where supported, evaluate Agent Plugins for capability bundles, and use MCP for appropriate tool connections. Every supported combination still needs behavioral and permission testing. Packaging standards make exchange easier; they do not certify a workload.
Skills equip the workers that execute missions
The move toward reusable Skills changes how capabilities are packaged and maintained. Execution still needs a model, tools and a runtime. HartBeat will use deterministic workflows, one skilled Beat or a small team according to the task and measured results.
One business layer. Multiple technology choices.
Models & AI services
OpenAI, Anthropic, Google/Gemini, Microsoft and xAI are provider candidates. The intended router selects an eligible service for the mission’s quality, privacy, cost and tool requirements.
Provider evaluation — no broad compatibility claim
Agent runtimes
Hermes, OpenClaw and other agent runtimes may supply execution capabilities behind HartBeat’s own mission, permission and audit boundaries. A catalog listing is not an installed integration.
Candidates — adapter testing required
Local intelligence
Local models and inference runtimes are candidates for suitable private or routine work on the appliance. Hardware capacity and output quality must be measured for each workload.
Benchmark required
Business applications
The App Suite and approved external business systems form the application layer. API adapters connect specific supported actions; they do not automatically expose every vendor feature.
Selected actions require validation
Connectors & interoperability
APIs and MCP are intended integration routes where available and appropriate. Each connection needs authenticated access, scoped permissions and a tested action/result contract.
Architecture direction — not universal access
Hardware & operating systems
HartBeat is designed as the business orchestration layer above the underlying operating system. Different appliance configurations require deployment and performance validation.
Hardware-neutral design goal
AI technologies. One mission-led workforce.

Planned HartBeat use: Evaluate as a replaceable worker runtime for selected Beats; isolate credentials and test skill behavior before deployment.
Official documentation ↗Planned evaluation · Not validated
OpenClaw
A self-hostable assistant and agent ecosystem.
Planned HartBeat use: Explore selected skills and adapter compatibility. Runtime deployment remains deferred from the initial V1 slice; catalog inclusion does not mean installation or trust.
Official documentation ↗Planned evaluation · Not validated
Ollama · Local model execution
A local inference route with tool-calling support for suitable models.
Planned HartBeat use: Benchmark routine extraction, classification and drafting on the appliance. A model runtime is not itself a Dots equivalent; HartBeat must supply orchestration, permissions and memory.

HartBeat coordinates the AI workforce.
HartBeat OS is designed to give supervising Beats the ability to select, brief and coordinate compatible AI agents through supported APIs and connectors. Specialist Beats perform defined tasks; supervising Beats coordinate the work, evaluate returned evidence, request revisions and route future work to another eligible worker when needed.
The human requester sets the intended outcome and authority. HartBeat’s deterministic controls enforce permissions and budgets. Each connected provider retains its own safeguards.
Delegation has defined boundaries.
- Assign and monitor: only through validated interfaces that expose those capabilities.
- Replace a worker: stop future assignments and select an eligible alternative. This does not cancel an existing external job.
- Cancel running work: require supported cancellation and confirmation; reconcile any work or charges already incurred.
- Delete an agent or revoke an account: a separate administrative action requiring explicit authority and provider support.
Dots and other external agents remain integration candidates. A Dot being able to call HartBeat tools does not establish that HartBeat can command that Dot. OpenAI’s Agents API is a separate developer route; it is not presented here as an API for controlling a customer’s personal Dot.
Planned architecture—not a claim of deployed control. Delegation, status reporting, cancellation and result retrieval must each be verified before activation. A connector alone does not establish all four.
Meet the Beats.
A Beat is HartBeat OS’s AI worker, built on a shared framework and equipped with the Skills, approved tools and context a mission requires. Separate workers have distinct scopes and responsibilities. Supported providers can be evaluated and replaced without redefining the business goal.
“How many Beats does this mission need?”
The intended orchestrator selects the smallest sufficient team for the scope, deadline, quality and budget. A simple task may need one Beat; a campaign may need Research, Content, Creative, Quality, Publishing and Analytics Beats. Six roles do not require six simultaneous paid processes. Work can be sequenced, reused or handled by deterministic tools.
The immediate engineering proof is a bounded inbox briefing by a separate Email Beat. HartBeat OS’s own content and audience-building workflows remain a subsequent business proving ground.
Explore the Beats and Skills →How a technology earns its place
- Confirm an official integration route, account eligibility and permitted use.
- Test the adapter with synthetic data and scoped credentials.
- Validate budgets, approvals, cancellation, retries and duplicate-action prevention.
- Run a bounded human-reviewed pilot and record quality, cost and data handling.
- Activate only the validated capabilities; monitor and replace when justified.
Provider-native safeguards still apply. HartBeat cannot override a provider’s permissions or promise that every external agent runs under identical controls. Unsupported enforcement is a reason to restrict or defer a connection.

Scaling target: approximately 13 distinct approved creatives per day. Channel adaptations are not counted as extra originals. We start with one approved creative on one authorized channel, then expand only after quality, cost, approvals and reliable publishing are demonstrated.
We intend to track cost per accepted creative, human review time, publishing receipts, audience response, consented signups and webinar participation. No live throughput or growth result is claimed yet. The website accepts expressions of interest. Confirmed delivery, follow-up and conversion measurement must be verified before they count as pilot results.
See our first-use-case mission →Adaptable by design. Accountable in execution.
Replaceable adapters can reduce dependence on any one vendor. They do not make software immune to change. New models and tools must earn their place through evaluation, controlled updates and measurable outcomes.
Use deterministic automation for predictable tasks, suitable local models where validated, and eligible cloud services when the mission needs them. More agents do not automatically mean lower costs. Routing must account for retries, review, model usage and operating expenses.
Every external action needs the right authority. Budget reservations, scoped credentials, durable jobs and reconciliation remain part of the design. Cloud processing may send authorized data beyond the appliance; local hardware alone does not make every workflow private.
